While properly installed implants have a high success rate, it is possible for issues to occur.

What is Dental Implant Restoration?

A dental implant restoration procedure is done in the event a previous implant no longer matches your surrounding teeth or functions properly. This process will ensure that the implant is securely fit to the jaw and matches the surrounding teeth.

You May Need Dental Implant Restoration If:

  • Your implant feels loose
  • Your implant no longer matches your other teeth
  • Your jaw is weaker than it once was, resulting in the implant becoming loose
  • Your crown and root has been damaged do to impact or trauma

What to Expect During Dental Implant Restoration

Dr. Kim will develop a custom treatment plan based on the condition of your dental implant. If your implant in damaged in the root of the implant, the restoration procedure will be more invasive; similar to the original implant process.

If only the crown is damaged or needs replaced, the procedure may be as simple as repairing the existing crown or creating a new one to be installed to the titanium post that was previously implanted into the jaw.
